Productie van printplaten voor LED-stadionverlichting — Zeer krachtige engines en flikkervrije drivers

Stadium lighting is where lighting electronics meet broadcast engineering. A single head can exceed 1000 W, the lighting must meet a sport’s illuminance and uniformity class, and increasingly it must be flicker-free for 4K and super-slow-motion cameras. That places extraordinary demands on the board: extreme heat density, very high drive current, and rock-steady current regulation. Highleap Electronics fabricates stadium engines on the highest-conductivity substrates and assembles precision drivers to your specification, on our LED-printplaat met hoge dichtheid platform. We are a contract PCB factory, not a fixture brand — you design and supply the luminaire; we manufacture its boards to your design or engineer them to your requirements. ISO 9001, MOQ 1 unit, 24-hour quote.

1. Why Sports-Lighting Manufacturers Choose Highleap for PCB Fabrication
The cost of getting stadium lighting wrong is uniquely public, which raises the bar on every board: the light engine must shed extreme heat, the driver must deliver flicker-free current, and the array must be consistent enough to light the field uniformly. As a specialist contract manufacturer, we fabricate and assemble to those demands, to the specification and class you require.
- Extreme-power fabrication - koperkern and high-conductivity aluminum engines for very-high-flux heads.
- Flicker-free driver assembly — low-ripple, precision constant-current drive built for high-frame-rate capture.
- Consistency at array scale — tight binning and stable build for field uniformity.
- Op maat gemaakt, MOQ 1 unit, ISO 9001, IPC Class 2/3, burn-in screening.
- OEM/white-label, 24-hour quote with free DFM, worldwide shipping.
2. Fabricating the Very-High-Power Stadium Light Engine
At stadium output the heat density is enormous, and aluminum alone often cannot move it fast enough. We fabricate these engines on the highest-conductivity substrates available, to your stackup or one engineered to your thermal target.
The board carries both extreme heat and large drive currents, and the two interact. High forward currents in the copper produce resistive (I²R) heating on top of the LED thermal load, so undersized copper does double damage: it adds heat and drops voltage. This is why stadium engines use very heavy copper and, at the top of the range, copper-core substrates whose bulk conductivity moves the combined load fast enough to hold the junction within the tight temperature window broadcast color accuracy demands.
- MCPCB met koperkern — for the highest-power heads; see aluminum vs copper core.
- High-performance aluminum — for high-output heads below that extreme; on our aluminium LED-printplaat lijn.
- Top-tier dielectric — to minimize junction-to-case resistance under heavy load; see MCPCB dielectric layer.
- Very heavy copper — to carry high drive currents without resistive heating.
- Arrays met hoge dichtheid — many high-flux emitters per board; see high-density LED PCB.
3. Assembling Flicker-Free Drivers for Broadcast
High frame rates and super-slow-motion replay expose any ripple in the drive current as visible flicker. Eliminating it is a driver-design and assembly problem, and is what most distinguishes a broadcast-grade stadium driver. We assemble to your electrical spec or engineer the driver to your flicker requirement.
- Low-ripple constant-current drive — tightly regulated current with minimal modulation, on our high-efficiency power PCB en LED-driver PCB platforms.
- High-frequency or DC dimming — dimming kept above camera frame rates to stay flicker-free.
- Multi-channel drive — independent control of arrays and zones for aiming and effects.
- Power-factor correction and heavy copper — for stadium connected loads and drive currents; see PFC PCB en heavy-copper power PCB.
LED instant-on and instant-restrike — impossible with legacy metal-halide — is managed entirely in the driver we build, which is part of why operators move to LED.
4. Sports-Lighting Metrics and the Boards Behind Them
Sports lighting is specified by demanding photometric metrics, and the board and electronics we manufacture directly affect whether the fixture you design meets them.
- Horizontal and vertical illuminance — set by stable high-power drive and your aiming design.
- Uniformiteit — depends on consistent output across many luminaires and arrays, a binning and build-consistency outcome.
- Verblindingsbeoordeling — controlled by your optic and the emitter arrangement on the board.
- Color rendering (CRI/TLCI) and CCT — set by the LED selection and binning we hold.
- Flicker percentage/index — a driver-ripple outcome, critical for slow-motion.
We fabricate boards for the full range — major stadium and arena floods, high-mast sports floods, court and pitch lights, and broadcast-grade arrays — selecting and binning emitters for your color metrics and building low-ripple drivers for flicker performance, so the luminaire meets the lighting class you are designing to.

5. Thermal, Efficiency and Outdoor Reliability to Your Standard
Stadium engines push thermal design to its limit, efficiency is a major operating-cost factor for the venue, and the floods sit high on exposed masts. We manufacture for all three, to your standard.
- Lowest achievable junction-to-case resistance - zien LED thermisch ontwerp en MCPCB warmteafvoer.
- Hoog rendement — efficient drive minimizes conversion loss and lets the LEDs run cooler; lights can be dimmed between events and switched instantly.
- Heavy surge protection and waterproofing — high-mast exposure demands robust surge immunity, conforme coatingen waterdichte constructie for IP66 heads.
- Burn-in screening — burn-in to catch failures before costly mast installation.

8. LED Stadium Light PCB FAQs
Do you sell stadium lights, or manufacture the boards?
We manufacture and assemble the boards — the very-high-power light engine and the flicker-free broadcast driver — to your specification, as bare PCBs, populated PCBAs, or complete wired heads. We are a contract PCB factory and OEM partner, not a fixture brand; you design and supply the stadium luminaire, and we build its electronics to your design or engineer them to your requirements.
What makes a stadium light board different from a normal floodlight board?
Scale and precision. Stadium heads can exceed 1000 W with extreme heat density, so they often require copper-core substrates and top-tier dielectric rather than standard aluminum. They also demand broadcast-grade flicker control and very tight current regulation, plus very high drive currents needing heavy copper. We fabricate and assemble stadium boards well beyond ordinary floodlighting, to your spec.
Can you assemble flicker-free drivers for high-speed broadcast cameras?
Yes. Flicker is a driver-design problem: high frame rates and slow-motion replay expose any ripple in the drive current. We assemble low-ripple constant-current drivers with dimming kept above camera frame rates — high-frequency or DC dimming — so the light is stable under 4K and slow-motion capture, built to the flicker specification you provide.
Do stadium light engines need copper-core, or is aluminum enough?
It depends on output. For the highest-power heads, copper-core MCPCB’s superior conductivity is decisive in moving heat fast enough. For high-output heads below that extreme, high-performance aluminum with top-tier dielectric is sufficient and more cost-effective. We assess thermal load during DFM and fabricate the substrate accordingly; for the most extreme cases we can use advanced ceramic substrates.
How do you achieve consistent output across a large array?
Field uniformity depends on consistent output across many luminaires plus precise aiming. We hold tight LED binning and assemble stable constant-current drive so every head produces matched output, and support per-luminaire addressing so the array can be balanced during commissioning. Consistent boards are the foundation that lets your aiming plan achieve the required uniformity ratio.
