What Does IT-180A Mean in a PCB Specification?

When IT-180A appears in a fabrication drawing or approved material list, Highleap treats it as one element of the complete PCB construction. The board may also require high layer counts, HDI structures, back drilling, thicker copper, controlled impedance, or demanding assembly conditions.Those features affect tooling, lamination, drilling, plating, etching, registration, inspection, and the PCBA route. Our engineering review therefore starts with the actual design files rather than with a generic material description.Highleap does not republish third-party laminate performance tables. Material qualification values should be controlled by the customer's engineering documents and current manufacturer technical information.

Critical trace geometry and impedance requirements are manufactured to the customer-approved stack-up and tolerance plan.

Bare-Board Qualification

AOI, dimensional checks, electrical test, microsection or other agreed inspections can be included in the quality plan.

PCBA & Functional Test

Highleap can continue with sourcing, SMT/THT, BGA assembly, X-ray, programming, and customer-defined functional testing.

For backplanes, thick-copper boards, high layer counts, or HDI structures, the final process route is confirmed from the complete fabrication package before quotation or release.
