What Does KB-6160 Mean in a PCB Specification?

KB-6160 is used here only as a material identifier in the customer's PCB specification. Highleap reviews it together with the layer build, copper weights, drill files, solder mask, finish, routing, dimensions, and assembly data.For conventional rigid PCB projects, repeatable imaging, etching, hole quality, plating, solder-mask registration, and electrical testing are often more useful manufacturing discussions than a copied laminate property table.If a material property is important to design qualification, the current manufacturer documentation approved by the customer remains the reference. Highleap's role is the PCB fabrication and PCBA process.

PCB Manufacturing & Assembly Process

For KB-6160-specified designs, Highleap applies a controlled rigid-board production route with emphasis on image transfer, etching, drilling, plating, surface finish, and electrical acceptance.

Rigid PCB DFM

Gerber, drill, stack-up, dimensions, copper requirements, and fabrication notes are reviewed before tooling.

Imaging & Etching

Trace geometry, spacing, copper weights, and etch compensation are controlled to the approved artwork.

Drilling & Copper Plating

Finished-hole dimensions, annular rings, plating, and hole quality are checked throughout production.

Solder Mask & Finish

Mask registration, legend, surface finish, routing, scoring, and final dimensions are produced to specification.

Electrical & Visual Inspection

Open/short testing, AOI, visual inspection, and dimensional checks can be applied as required.

SMT & THT Assembly

The bare PCB can move directly into component sourcing, SMT, through-hole assembly, inspection, and testing.

Highleap does not substitute the customer-controlled KB-6160 callout without approval. Any sourcing or build issue is raised before production.
